My Ipod did not eject properly and now the laptop doesn't read it?

download the latest iTunes update, connect the iPod via USB but not to the one wich are on the side of the keyboard (connect to the ones of the back of the laptop, which have more power!!) and run iTunes in order to check if the iPod was recognised. if it doesn't solve the problem buy a new connection cable. but try not to connect on the USB that are on the side of the laptop (the keyboard ones, as they are called)
