How do I register my ipod touch with itunes again?

I plugged in my new ipod touch to register it and when I did everything was going normal but then my computer froze so it didnt fully register. Now when i plug it in and click on it under devices nothing comes up and the only thing I can do is eject it. So what do I do so that I can download songs and stuff to it? please help!!!!
