Why are american kids so depressed?

im 16 and i seen to many kids cut themselves and become depressed for anything and it really gets me mad,i think america has the highest rate of depressed kids in the world, i mean not even the poor country kids and their f*ckin poor,i recently been to el salvador and mexico and i went to the poorest part and wow you except for them to be suciedal by the way they live with all this violence but no this lil kids are runnin around happy so wtf why is our people so depressed and suicidal,i understand if you were raped or a loved one died but those kids that had nothing like that happened to them like wtf really cant you do something,i mean this is f*ckin america were you can do whatever you wnt and be whatever you want,i understand if you going for that emoish scenic look i mean thats cool i know alot of people that dress like that and arent depressed or anythin but why are all those kids depressed is it cus they dont do nothing cus i noticed most of them are skinny and scranny or fat and arent really in shape mayb they should try a sport cus i never really heard of athlete being depressed i guess cus they focus to much on the sport there playin,i know self esteem issues aint a reason, i seen to many ugly people dating models and to many ugly people thinking they all that...so why are american kids so depressed i really dont understand?
