Help! washed atv and nnow it wont work?

i bought it 2days ago its a 50cc (gio i think), it worked fine yesterday then i came back, washed it with the hose, iit started but only for like 5mins cuz it wouldnt stay runnin and backfired. And NOW when you push the button it DOESNT DO NOTHING AT ALLL!! was thinkin it was the battery but no it still has a good full charge so whts up?, did i get something wet or what?
