IPod touch 2g 16 gigs loses wifi randomly (HELP)?

I hav and iPod touch 2g and it randomly loses Internet and it has trouble finding it and my uncle just got a 4g today and I finds the router quick and easy. Also my iPod is jailbroken so is my uncles and his is an 8gig runnin on 4.3.3 firmware and mying is runnin on 4.2.1 and also my friend has an 8gig no camera not a 1st gen and is keePs it normally but mying loses it quick and is hard to find, my friends is runnin on 4.2.1 and also is jailbroken Also the router is about 7 yards away from me and my uncles 4g keeps it really good swell as my friends.
