Just bought a new Xbox 360S how can i play games off the HDD?

i install the game to the hard drive but it dont work it tells me to put in the disc which i do but it ONLY runs off the disc NOT the hard drive i know this becasue i eject the disc and it stops the game this didnt happen after the NXE update whent he menus were blue now they are white and im having this issue with EVERY disc i install
